I found out today that my cat Monroe, 13, has hyperthyroidism. It's caused by a tumor on the thyroid. There are different treatments (i.e.- medication, surgery etc); the most reliable, or effective, is radiation treatment. I have been reading about the side effect occurance rates, recovery times... but haven't found anything about the stress or hardship of the treatment during or in the 10-14 day quarantine recovery period.
