The Moores: Walk In The Woods

[Jenny and Troy are hanging out and taking a walk through the woods. Even though they're having a good time something is weighing heavy on Jenny's mind.]

 

T: So how was your going away party slash sleepover with your friends yesterday?

 

J: They weren't happy about it. They said me moving would ruin our summer sleepovers.

 

T: Ha! I bet. They'll survive. Are you all packed at your moms house now?

 

J: Almost. Mom is redecorating my room since my aunt moved back to her country. It should be done soon though.

 

T: Cool, cool.

 

[The two of them walk in silence for a while. Jenny isn't sure if she should mention what's on her mind.]

 

J&T: I have something to tell you. What? You first.

 

T: Haha, you go first.

 

J: ..Um..okay.. Since I'm moving to my moms I cant go to East High anymore...it's too far...

 

T: Oookay...

 

J: And my dad will only have me twice a month...

 

T: Alright...

 

J:...So that means I won't be able to see you often...

 

T: Uh huh.

 

J: And I don't want to hold you back from finding something...or one better. So I think it might be for the best if we...break..up.

 

T: Wow...

 

J: Don't get me wrong! I don't want to, but...maybe it's for the best. Then you won't feel bad or cheat if you find a prettier girl. I mean since I won't be here and all.

 

T:.....

 

J: Troy?

 

T:....

 

J: Troy!? Say something!

 

T: It's kind of gonna be hard to be broken up when were going to the same school.

 

J: What are you talking about? I just said I'm not going to East High anymore. I'm going to Septerra Prep!

 

T: So am I.

 

J: What! Since when!?

 

T: My mom is a secretary for the school. Also I got a scholarship there for basketball. They were looking for star player and my mom asked them to look at my skills. I was offered to attend last month. I was going to say no, but then my mom told me how you were the student accepted through their Give Back program. I was going to surprise you with it, but I didn't know you were going to break up with me.

 

J: Troy, that's great!

 

T: I guess I'll just have to date one of those SP girls instead. [He gives a playful sigh]

 

J: Huh!? I only broke up with you because I thought...

 

T: I'm kidding, dork. You think I'd let us break up over some distance? Yeah right!

 

J: Awwe, Troy! I love you!

 

T: Love you too.
