Church of St Oswald, Filey
A productive use of the last twenty minutes remaining on our car park ticket. The older part of Filey is centred on the parish church. The scars of earlier roof lines on the tower show it was extensively "restored" in the second half of the 19th century, the rebuilding incorporating Early English style lancet windows to the aisle of the chancel. Copies of the original Romanesque openings were used on the tower. Drawn with a Staedtler pigmentliner pen in a Moleskine sketchbook.
