Making butter

Making butter and cheese would have been a key undertaking at the farmhouse I am currently illustrating. This large butter churn is probably too advanced and unlikely to have been around in the 17th century which is what I am drawing. However it was an interesting exercise to draw it quickly and follow what W H Pyne mist have drawn quickly from life in the 18th century.
