In the chapter 'The Procrustean Bed' Eric Gill discusses the merits of word spacing and how this affects the look of a page. One of his spreads has uniform line lengths; all other pages are ranged left. To illustrate his point I cut out all the words in this chapter, leaving only the spaces between the words.
