Last Day at Work
Plain mannered Thomas A Thompson, last day of work for the DMV (department of motor vehicles) after 30 years with the Dept in Dec. 2009. I work the last of those 18 of those years in the Grass Valley office as the office manager, and work in 62 offices as a traveling manager. But thinking back on all my years it only seem like yesterday.
I was always entertain by people. And "everyone" had to see me at different times in their lives. Some were famous, some not so, some lovely, some not so, some rich, some not, but "all" had a story to tell if we just took the time to listen. And I always enjoyed listening.

It has now been 16 years since I've retired and written above. And looking back at this photo I wonder where have the years gone? I've always considered my time at the DMV as a hobby, much like my time giving flight Instructions in airplanes, traveling, writing, photography, talking to people and plain enjoying life to the fullest. Do I have any regrets? Many, in the course of 77 years, but then, who doesn't?
