Cockpit of Adventures

The world is mine as they say, but that's assuming there is an airport nearby to land on. With the trusty Piper Archer, it's dependable 180hp engine, IFR equipment, GPS, and 4 seats at my disposal and a cruise speed of 150mph, I can soar across roads, valleys, mountains, deserts in a single leap. Ok, ok maybe not non-stop but close enough.

Over the many decades of flying I have ferried and delivered dozens and dozens of aircraft safely across the breadth of the US. I can not tell you in a single picture or story the adventures and simple joy of seeing the earth unfold beneath me while flying at low altitude (1,000 ft) and not flying at 40,000 ft in today's commercial airlines. I have introduced many individuals to the joy of flying and as a certified flight instructor many of those people are flying today safely including some who now fly for major airlines.

And yes, I know this cockpit is considered primitive, full of steam or analog gauges instead of today's planes with their fancy digital or glass cockpit screens (would be nice though) with state of the art navigation systems. But I can fly this plane anytime and just about anywhere (40,000 feet is a bit beyond my reach) I want just by putting gas in it.

Anyone up for an adventure?
