13 Trivia monacha

1: large inhalent siphon, a rolled extension of mantle, coloured as head with a few black flecks; ventral slit visible where rolled sides meet; protruding from short, anterior siphonal canal of shell; held erect.

2: head folded shut along ventral mid-line.

3: mantle whitish ventrally.

4: sole coloured as dorsum of foot, but without opaque lines.

5: extended mantle bluish-grey laterally and dorsally.

6: dark marks on mantle merging into lines aligned over underlying shell-grooves.

Shell height 10.8 mm (longest dimension). Menai Strait. August 2010.
