Post veliger juvenile.

Late stage post veliger juvenile, larger than many adults; may be because shell reabsorbed during change to adult (disputed by Forbes & Hanley), or because of individual size-variation. Shell entirely translucent white. No operculum or periostracum. Overall shape ovoid.

1: spire, 2.5% of height, exposed adjacent to 2: top of body whorl.

3: body whorl 100% of height.

4: sculpture of ribs and grooves commenced formation on all faces.

5: aperture 100% of shell height, gently-curved linear as on adult but wider.

6: outer (palatal) lip bent into aperture.

7: no columellar or parietal lip on body whorl on inner side of aperture.

11.7 mm high. Orkney 1975.
