Watch Out for Hop-ons

My print for Gallery 1988’s “There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand” Arrested Development Tribute Show. The show runs now through July 21st at 7020 Melrose in LA, and the print is also for sale on their website. (The copyright line does not appear on the actual print.)

What … you don’t remember seeing the Staircar advertised in a 1957 issue of LIFE Magazine??*

I was originally working on an old-timey magic poster for GOB, but then saw some other folks did the same thing for the show, so I quickly did this instead. Whew!

*And here’s some reference as to the little floating-vignette style I’m spoofing, for those unfamiliar with ’50s car advertising, although I’ve not included any full-page ads (with slogans, etc.).

UPDATE: the listing for my print says it's on sale due to slight damage ... I talked to the gallery and apparently a few got bumped on one corner, so they're now offering them at 10% off. However, the print has a 1/2" border for framing, so the art will still look fine! Plus ... now you get a discount!

UPDATE: AND NOW THEY'RE SOLD OUT! Thanks so much for everyone who bought one!! This was the best birthday present ever. :D
