This night is our bye-bye party for Mr. Takao Sawada, our department manager, and a welcome party for the incoming manager, Mr. Toshihiko Uemura. Below is the farewell message I wrote and edited by Miss Anna Sotto .
Sayonara Sawada-san
Today, we celebrate a very special yet a bitter-sweet occasion. Sad as always, yet it's time to bid farewell to someone who has been with us in five years. Someone, who seems silent yet distinguished himself with his diligence and a bit humor drive in the workplace.
He will be remembered for his good managements skills, trustworthiness and so with his daily routines such as fast phase walking, and even with his daily telephone sessions at the corner of our office, setting aside what their conversation is and who he's talking with, we saw and knew he had a great time. His work in our department has resulted greatly, which we hope inspires others in what can be achieved. As they say, the progress one makes in a career always depends greatly on the kind of supervision he gets. Thus, we consider ourselves lucky to have you as our boss. You might leave a hole in the organization, yet all the learnings and memories you've shared with us in those happy years would hopefully filled it up. Sawada-san, now that you have to leave PTY, we wish you the very best of what life has to offer. May you grow in every aspect of life, we hope you have all the best prosperity.
