Goldscope Coffin Level
A 16th century copper mine level hacked out with picks - pre gunpowder! The striations are the individual pick lines - amazing - the tunnel leans to the right as the miners were normally right handed - and the water in the foot channel used to drain to power an 18' wooden water wheel in the centre of the mountain - the effort!
