48/52 Boardwalk Dishevellement
Paddy not so strutting his stuff on the boardwalk which crossed a large wet raised peatbog. Great fun was ensuing as this was about a kilometer long with lots of twists and turns, usually because there was a bigger wet bit at each corner location. Anyway as you see it was raining which made for an incredibly slippy surface which is where the fun came in. Giving the heather stalk to Paddy, and thus becoming 'IT' in Auntie Elk's mind off he went flying down the boardwalk towards the first corner beyond which was a deep pool .. obvious what was going to happen and funny to watch the realisation occur in his mind first and then auntie elk next. Paddy went over upside down on his back skidding along the boardwalk as he tried to prepare for the corner at high speed legs flailing in the air before the inevitable ploosh (he has an aversion to water!), followed by the Elk who did a handrail on her back that snowboarders would have been proud of followed by a double 180 reverse flip then ploosh . Collies learn quick and no amount of persuading would encourage a repeat, hence Paddy looking distinctly uncomfortable in this photo ..you can tell he's still got water in his ear from his recent submergence!
