1st simple own example (lets an LED blink) using the Microchip C18 C compiler for a CUI board ( www.create.ucsb.edu/~dano/CUI/ ) with a PIC18F4553

 

The C18 compiler inside MPLAB is somewhat tricky to setup - need to manually set up linker script and lib / objects to be linked in path in project settings.
