Colours of the desert

A rocky ridge in the Great Sandy Desert, Northern Territory Australia, in the late afternoon sun. Taken from the air.

The trees with white trunks are ghost gums, Corymbia aparrerinja, which were the subject of many paintings by the famous Aboriginal artist, Albert Namatjira.

Happy new week!
