First: it's perfectly famed to contextualize her setting; secondly: her pose of appearing to rise from the water and command the rain to fall; thirdly: a wonderful seriousness of her expression while carrying off the costume, in character. Each time I view this, I "believe" in the fantasy created and it enchants.

Who are we really? What do we wish for ourselves? What are we becoming? Taking in the gestalt of a "Kingly" bird's eye view (high above) has the power to generate introspection within. I enjoyed how the portrati evokes an internal process and projects it without actually seeing the expression of the subject's face.

Masterful composition of a simply beautiful young woman. The blurred background lines on the right lead us to the edge of her headscarf, which then spirals to her forehead and eyes, then to the colorful adornments enhancing her beauty; then to her smile, up her nose bridge to her eyes again. If your eyes try and escape, her fingers have the scarf extended as if to contain your field of view. And why would one ever want to leave such a beautiful face???

Timelessly in black and white. They are in the prime of life, elegantly costumed, perfectly posed and the background lines lead in to them so naturally. The details woo me: from his sharp hat brim and sideburns, to her large flower and earrings, dress ruffles, and darkened eyebrows, to the striped saddle pad, and the conifidence of their posture. I feel their pride, and Spanish heritage, and charisma all at once.

Perhaps the best example of a super-fan portrait I could ever have imagined. The ideal crisp focus is placed on him and his wild costume. The bokeh and perfectly blurred background in the stands behind him, are placed at a diagonal and lead us to that amazing hat, while also contextualizing his location. Amazing color! A+ execution.

Daddy was and is still a raver at heart. OK, it's Burning Man. It happens to also show us a family portrait where everyone is an extension of the other. The mirrored bits on the children's costumes embody how he has spawned and shares with the children some of what he loves. I think its techno, even though he's in cowboy boots.
