On Sunday, 6 different chapel choirs united to sing a joint service in the University Church. Amazingly, amongst a couple of hundred people, I ended up right at the front (i.e. able to see the conductor, which many couldn't) - right under the pulpit. Which meant I couldn't actually see the preacher, who was the Rev Richard Coles, a quasi-well-known name here from his occasional appearances on Radio 4 (and I think he was on HIGNFY once). But never mind. Trying to sing decently in such a massive group was rather more important...
