After the rain...

The newest (and third ever) bloom in my rose garden. The rosebush in question is "Mister Lincoln" (a rather old hybrid tea variety). The big leaves are an unknown variety of hosta, that I accidentally planted this rose right on top of. Trying to emulate the evening sun with strobes; not sure if I got it quite right, but the rose is still beautiful either way...

Strobist:

Key Light: White Lightning Ultra 1800 at 1/12 power with a DIY dish reflector. About 20' from the subject, to camera left.

Fill Light: SunPak 522 at 1/3 power, gelled 3/4 CTB, fired into a silver umbrella from above.

Post Process: No PS, WB set to 10,000K in ACR, with a few more tweaks...
