Shoreline Shenanigans
Earlier in the week I found myself on this bit of coastline in South Wales which looks out over the Bristol Channel towards North Devon. This isn’t an area I know particularly well and I had attempted to time my visit to hit a sunset/low tide combo in an effort to take some tidal pool reflection style shots in the sand. Having not specifically checked where the sun would actually be in advance, it was way further south for the shot I had anticipated. In fact, it didn’t even look like there was going to be a half-decent sunset so I gave up on that plan and almost didn’t bother getting the camera out.
Plan ‘B’ was much more spontaneous but required careful navigation over a steep mass of rounded cobbles which twisted and cascaded down an incline with every step. I eventually got my decrepit body down to the shoreline and used a handful of large rocks, being washed by the surf, for some much needed foreground interest. Luckily, the sunset also improved so things didn’t work out too badly in the end.
Thanks as always for your interest and support.
