Hippeastrum II

Otherwise, more popularly known as an Amaryllis. Always big, brash and spectacular, this one was given to us, as a bulb, at Christmas.

 

This follows a previous posting where I attempted to create an 'arty' capture of this plant, before it opened. This was a similar attempt, after it completely opened.

 

Multiple focus stacked images were required in order to keep the stamens reasonably sharp.
