South Parade Pier

South Parade Pier sits on Southsea Beach and reaches out across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight. It is a sad sight now compared with its hey-day when it used to host pier shows, a funfair and traditional seaside activities. It was even used as a film set (Tommy) in the 70's and has had several major fires since its construction in 1875.
