Today's story and sketch "by me" below you see Wally
Knewbutt and his wife Sherlyn who just arrived here in
Podunk Valley from their home Planet Mars, and are looking
for their half acre ranch at the Playa Beutimus Resort,
Sherlyn is an excellent navigator and is trying to explain
to Wally they are in Podunk Valley (formerly Quarzsite AZ)
at 33.6762 N.-114.217 E, but it does not seem to look any
thing like the half acre they purchased from the photo's in
the sales brochure, for Playa Beutimus RV Retirement Resort.
The Playa Beutimus brochure described beautiful tropical
half acre lots with awesome rock scape vistas, mild
temperatures with an occasional tropical breeze, friendly
exotic animals who roam the resort, a genuine retirement
paradise.
But the truth be told Rescue Randy (living tissue crash
test dummy, and Desert Resort Developer), purchased 3
million acres of this desert oasis from the bankrupt
federal governments "BULLS" Bureau of Unbelievably
Lousy Land Sales, and began selling to Martians who
want to retire on Earth, to enjoy the mild 130 degree
daytime temps, and cooler nights listening to the melodic
howls of coyotes as they wander through Playa Butimus
pursuing the Beutimus Rock Goats, but that and much more
are a story for another time, until then taa ta
