Drewryville School demolition — 5/5
Workers removed this desk from the former Drewryville School building before demolishing the structure. Meanwhile a bulldozer in the background skirts a burning pile of wood and pulverizes bricks from the structure. The school first opened in 1924 and served white students in the 1st through 11th grades during segregation. It closed in 1955, and was heavily damaged by Hurricane Isabel in September 2003.
