Gold Hill, Shaftesbury

Many of the houses on this hill are grade II listed buildings which gives them a degree of protection from development and change thereby maintaining the character of this famous tourist attraction. Gold Hill has featured in films such as Thomas Hardy's Far From the Madding Crowd and the 1970's Hovis television advert.
