B17 Flying Fortress escorted by P51 Mustang.
North American P-51D Mustang '413704 / B7-H' (G-BTCD), although painted in the markings of '44-13704' named 'Ferocious Frankie', this Mustang is actually '44-73149' which also saw RCAF service as '9568'
B-17 Flying Fortress G-BEDF Sally B is the last remaining airworthy B-17 in Europe.
After the US Air Force finished with the aircraft, it was sold to the French Government in the 1950s who used it for conducting surveys and mapping work. It was retired in the 1970s as the costs of using the aircraft increased.
It was then purchased by businessman Ted White in March 1975.
The aircraft has been involved in several commemorations, such as the 60th Anniversary of VE Day where the Sally B flew down The Mall and Buckingham Palace.
