Polka dot plant

The polka dot plant isnt celebrated for its flowers. It's the big pink-splotched leaves that make it so attractive. But at the end of the growing season, it suddenly becomes very leggy and produces lots of tiny leaves (why the tiny leaves?) and tiny little mauve flowers. The flowers often seem to be hiding at the back of the stems. I think they are lovely little flowers. They are also hard for me to photograph as the macro lens doesnt seem to find much to focus on amongst the soft mauve colours.

I suspect these flowers are going to make multiple appearances in my photo-a-day shots. These flowers and/or wasps. I think there were days when that was all i took pix of. (A bit like skit taking a shot of her computer screen ... for me it's the current quick balcony shot).
