ENOC 2852 - OVX 296D - 53 Chelmsford to Kelvedon c1977
Three more photos of Eastern National vehicles all caught by my camera in the High Street at Kelvedon during the mid to late 1970’s.
Some months later and possibly working the same journey as that being covered by the Guy depicted in the previous view, we see Bristol FLF6G OVX 296D heading towards the Railway Tavern terminus. I seem to recall that this vehicle was delivered new to Kelvedon, but it too was later allocated to Silver End and carries a shiny SE plate. For some months in 1973/4 the ENOC and NTSE vehicles shared the former Moore Brothers depot, but it was far from an ideal situation. Problems arose in the winter when the ENOC parking area at the rear of the site became an extremely muddy quagmire and by the end of 1974 their vehicles had moved to Silver End.
