Sanders 129 1300hrs North Walsham to Norwich NCFC 261225
Under a clear blue sky on a chilly Boxing Day, Sanders MCV Evoseti bodied Volvo B8L type number 129 - EC23 SHA “Evie Charlie Shade” is captured heading along Banningham Road at Dunkirk on the outskirts of Aylsham as it operates the above Carrow Road bound service NC3 journey. Unusual to see 129 and sister vehicle 128 - PC23 SAN both working out of North Walsham depot today and providing a more modern form of transport to that which the Canary faithful are used to on services NC3 & NC11. Love the waving hand!
A location that has been used before back in April 2021. Construction of the A140 Aylsham - Ingworth Bypass, saw the original Banningham Road, which is situated a short distance beyond the trees to the left, truncated at the point where it would have crossed the newly rerouted A140. Thus, the section of Banningham Road we can see in this shot now runs from a new junction on the A140 and follows the old Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway trackbed to rejoin the original version near to the site of the former Aylsham Town Station.
This is the first time that 129 has appeared before my camera since Boxing Day 2024 which, as we can see from the shot below, was not quite as sunny!
