Lynxbus 33 1155hrs Hunstanton to King's Lynn 260125

Today, Sunday 26th January 2025 marks the tenth anniversary since Lynxbus of King’s Lynn commenced operation. From these early beginnings the company has expanded to become the major bus operator in King’s Lynn and the surrounding area with a route network covering much of North West Norfolk.

The almost obligatory shot taken in Hunstanton Bus Station and here Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 MMC type number 33 - YY24 ELH is caught by my camera while waiting to depart with the above King’s Lynn bound service 34 journey. In the background it is just possible to make out where the grey sky ends and the grey waters of The Wash begin. Having been promised a day of bright January sunshine, the conditions became ever gloomier and colder as the hours passed.

The Bus Station was due to be redeveloped with housing, a new library and retail outlets in 2020 before the Covid pandemic struck, but it subsequently received a stay of execution.
