Sanders 222 0755hrs Gresham to Sheringham High School 220623
On a bright sunny morning, Sanders Mercedes Benz Sprinter EVM Cityline type number 222 - RX22 SKU is captured on Cromer Road at Lower Gresham as it works the above journey on Sheringham High School service 403. From Monday to Saturday this vehicle spends most of the day working Holt “Hopper” Town service 8, however before and after taking up these duties it does manage to regularly escape onto other services including Coasthopper CH1 and school services 65 & 403 in term time.
From Monday 31st October 2022, following the half term holiday, Sheringham High School contract service 401 was split into two separate sections. A revised service 401 now commences at Edgefield where it circumnavigates the village and having reached the A148 Holt Bypass, by following an anti-clockwise circuit via Plumstead Green, Baconsthorpe and Hempstead, the route runs directly to SHS by way of the A148 and Upper Sheringham. The afternoon homeward bound journey returns via Upper Sheringham, the A148, Holt Bypass and B1149 through to Edgefield before following the Plumstead Green, Baconsthorpe and Hempstead circuit in the same anti-clockwise direction. This leaves pupils from Gresham, Lower Gresham and Aylmerton who are now catered for by service 403 which is probably a closed contract as it does not appear on Sanders website. As a result of these changes the very narrow Edgefield - Hempstead and Baconsthorpe - North Barningham sections of the former service 401 route have been abandoned.
A previously used location, although this is the first time that service 403 has appeared amongst my uploads and somewhat curiously I have yet to capture vehicle 222 working on the streets of Holt.
