Sanders 1007 0850hrs Fakenham to King's Lynn 041218

Having captured Sanders Plaxton bodied Dennis Javelin type number 1007 - YO52 FHB at Weasenham, I travelled the four miles westwards to Great Massingham where, as we can see, the bright sunny and frosty conditions had given way to quite dense fog. In this view 1007 is seen making the turn from Weasenham Road on to Station Road in Great Massingham as it continues to King’s Lynn with the above journey on Tuesday only service 26. At one time, not far from this spot, Eastern Counties kept a couple of buses in the village, although the outstation closed around 1970.

For those who do not know, Massingham has a number of ponds situated within a large village green and on a sunny day it is a very scenic location. Somewhere I will return to on another day.
