Erosion

The rare rain that comes to Death Valley usually arrives in downpours, which form the rills and gullies that reshape the landscape.

This large wash near Zabriskie Point was most recently flooded in August 2004, by a powerful that killed two people and destroyed a stretch of California state Route 190. It took eight months and $10 million to reopen the road.

Happy Saturday! Take care, stay safe and be optimistic. Thanks for stopping by and for all of your support -- I deeply appreciate it.
