Highland Cows at Play
Highland cows are a hardy breed, having been bred to withstand the conditions in the Scottish Highlands. Their long hair and downy undercoat gives them the ability to overwinter.
These two are play fighting, a common behavior that seems partly inspired by attention from passing walkers. I hoped to capture at least one Highland cow, but never expected to encounter this display!
