Ménec Alignment
The sites at Carnac form the largest collection of megalithic stones in the world. More than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones were hewn from local rock and erected by the early Celtic people of Brittany. The alignments are believed to be related to astronomical observations at the solstices. This image is of an impressive upright among several smaller stones of the Ménec alignment.
Hope you have a lovely weekend! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind support.
