Hilina Pali

Hilina Pali is a cliff approximately 2,282 ft (695.6 m) in elevation and over 12 miles (19.3 km) long. It's about as far as you can drive into the remote areas of Volcanos National Park, and well worth the trip. Below the cliff is part of the Ka'ū desert and the Pacific Ocean, and you can hike or backpack through this rugged and desolate area. Bring rain gear, sunscreen, sun glasses, a hat and plenty of water!

Happy Thursday! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.
