Bristlecone
An grove of ancient bristlecone pine trees thrives at high altitude in Cedar Breaks National Monument, Utah. One of them is more than 1,600 years old. The Park Service does not identify which one to discourage those who would harm it. Hard to imagine what would drive someone to hurt such an ancient survivor.
This image was processed using Photoshop's HDR, then converted to monochrome.
Happy Tuesday! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.
