Burn Remnants

The effects of wildfires linger long after the flames are out and the smoke dissipates. Desert poppies and other low growing plants are thriving, but it will be many years before the trees come back. This was a small fire along the Buttermilk Country Loop that burned about 250 acres.

Yes, it's a natural phenomenon. But fire activity is increasing --and one has to wonder about the long term affects to the environment, flora and fauna.

Hope you have an inspirational weekend. Thanks for stopping by and for all of your kind comments. I will continue to be off and on for a few days.
