Sometimes We Need To Say Hello In Order To Say Goodbye.
Little Jinx is living in an in-between world of light and shadow. Her person, and one of the dearest folks I know, has had her most of her life, but due to severe illness, he is no longer able to care for her. He knew I was able to find a home for her, but when Mr. Puff passed, and I was having such a hard time moving on, he asked if I would take her. I said I would, hoping that someone else would come along, and I could continue to live in my sorrowful state, however, a particularly bad night for all three of us forced the situation, and with her tucked safely into Jamies' jacket, she came home with me.
We are all working through this change, all feeling differing emotions. Jinx and Jamie are mourning each others loss, and I am feeling sad for both of them, but we will survive, and we will be alright.
And Mr. Puff and Annie are still with me. I will never say goodbye to them, but I did need to say goodbye to the intense sorrow.
Jamie has made the ultimate sacrifice, he has found the best solution to a heartbreaking situation, and he has given me the greatest gift. The gift of taking care of this precious life in as loving and kind a way as he has, and I will.
