Forfar Dramatic Society 1936 - Trophy Presentation as Winners of the SCDA National Award
In 1936 Forfar Dramatic Society won the Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA) festival award for their production of 'The Dreamer' by Joe Corrie. The cast then went on to broadcast the play on the Scottish Home Service - a notable event for the town in those days. Production was by Catherine Hollingsworth. Here the cast are presented with the trophy in Glasgow.
On the left, back and front, are four officials of the SCDA. Continuing Left to Right are cast members David (Dave) Milne, Agnes (Aggie) Smith, Harold Adamson, Lavinia (Ina) Macdonald, Isabella (Bella) Wilson and (seated) Mary Reid.
