A charity event in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind from the 1950s. A local scratch baseball team (the 'Swinging Loons') shown in front of their American opponents from Edzell Naval Base. Edzell closed and the Americans went home. The new (at the time) Guide Dog Centre in Dundee Road was demolished in 2010, though its work continues at Orchardbank The 'Loons' are now in their 70s. So, all in all, a return match is now unlikely.
