This launch is on display at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle, NH. The Truth was used to transport diplomats between the hotel, the presidential yacht "Mayflower" and the Navy Yard in Kittery, Maine. These diplomats stayed at the hotel for the signing of the Treaty of Portsmouth, ending the war between Russia and Japan in which 600,000 men died. The Treaty was signed September 05, 1905 at Seavey's Island, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
President Teddy Roosevelt received the Nobel Prize for his work on this conference.
