Frida Giraffe (complete)
Not an exact copy of the original painting, but done in "the spirit of". I especially simplified the flora in the background to keep the focus on Frida and the monkey. So much trial and error. Learned a lot about needing the right colors in order to mix what you want, but not needing the exact right colors in order to get what you need. It's all relative. Lots of matte medium/paint glazes over the solid acrylics. Many details achieved with colored pencil.
