NGC7814 is a Sab type galaxy about 40 millions light-years away in the Pegasus constellation. This beautiful edge-on spiral with many background little galaxies that can be seen through it is a great opportunity for astronomers to study gas and dust properties of the NGC7814 halo. It is sometimes called "the little sombrero" in reference to Messier 104.
