Gold & Silber

Bei der Suche nach einem passenden Zitat bin ich auf das alte deutsche Studenten-/Volkslied nach einem Gedicht von August Schnetzler (1828) gestoßen:

 

"Gold und Silber lieb ich sehr, .....,

sei´s des Mondes Silberschein,

sei´s das Gold der Sterne."

 

While searching for a suitable quote, I came across the old german student/folk song based on a poem by August Schnetzler (1828):

 

"Gold and silver I love dearly...,

Be it the moon's silver glow,

Be it the stars' gold."
