Trans yellow comparison
1. Upper left (moc), TLG original (new) trans yellow.
2. Lower left (5 parts including radar dish), boiled water and tumeric. My new favorite method but be careful to wash your hands well afterwards, it stains everything.
3. Far right 3×6×1 windshield only, Alcohol dye
This method is very good but it is hard to get everywhere including inside, if you do not completely cover you may see shade differences. If you are able to fully cover the plastic, the result is spot on. Use a good professional fine paint brush from an arts store (where you would get the dye) and the coverage should be nice and even.
4. Upper old style windshield next to marker, Yellow sharpie. Can't tell in photo but sharpie leaves streaks and lines. Also hard to get good coverage.
In terms of Tint I cannot see a real difference to trans yellow molded in last couple of years.
