Okay… Breathe… Breathe…, Angie.

Phew!

So many issues with this image, it ain't funny. That said, I LOVED the challenge!!! Thank you, Ana! Ansel Adams isn't as easy as I thought it'd be. Hardly.

For starters, I had been shooting on the beach before I shot this and apparently some sea spray (full of sand) got on my lens so post edit was a GIANT pain in the A**. Argh!!! Seriously, my eyes need a rest. My fingers, too. Thank the Photoshop Gods for spot healer tool, but oh my eyes… Then there was the playing around in Silver Efex, without using a pre-selected filter, because I didn't want to cheat. Getting my sky just dark enough but not too dark and making sure my highlights were in check, took awhile longer than I'd have ever expected. I didn't get the tone right, though. Ugh… And, let's not forget that I NEVER shoot at f/22. I shoot wide-open! So this was a beautiful challenge for me both in shooting style and post edit processing. I know it's far from perfect, but I enjoyed the journey, anyway. Thanks again, sweet Ana. I cannot wait for next months influential photographer. I'm sure I'll suck just as badly at shooting it, but I look forward to sucking again! ;)
