This is a conceptual image. For this photo I wanted to start right back at the basics of art concepts, from composition, contrast, shapes, texture, and colour. Many of these apply directly to photography so this image worked well. It is simplistic and extreme at the same time. The circle is clear, simple and placed directly in the centre of the image. The lighting has a very extreme contrast. The roof shows off texture well. Although this image was shot in colour the effectiveness of the other elements is better shown in black and white. Which says something about the overall composition. I put this image on my computer and was very happy with how it turned out to show all the things I wanted, and then as I was looking at it I realized it looks like an eye ball.
