Pullman 12-1 Sleeper "Woodland"
Pullman "Woodland" was built in 1930 on Lot 6360 to Plan 3410B. It was one of a number of 12 Section-1 Drawing Room Sleepers built by Pullman. It was one of the cars retained by Pullman following the 1948 breakup. "Woodland" remained in service until 1965 when it was sold to Jack Ferris. He would own the car until 1970 when it was sold to the Bear Creek Scenic in North Carolina. Sometime around 1973, the car was again sold, this time to the Oregon, Pacific & Eastern. "Woodland" was moved up to Oregon and placed on display, wearing faux Illinois Central colors. In 1978, the car was sold to the Galveston Railroad Museum. It was later restored to its original appearance. Iowa Pacific would buy the car circa 2014 and moved to Colorado. After IPH's 2019 bankruptcy, the car went up for sale. As of 2025, it is still looking for a new home.
