Exiting Dearborn Station in Chicago for one of the final times, L&N's Danville Flyer gets underway behind E7A 799. The Louisville & Nashville had only been running this train for about two years when this April 1971 view was taken. The road inherited it from the Chicago & Eastern Illinois in 1969 when the L&N acquired the line's Chicago-Evansville, IN trackage in that year.
