MILW Combine 980409

MILW 980409 was built by the Milwaukee Road in 1934 for use on branchline passenger runs and mixed trains. The original number was 2704. After being taken out of passenger use, the car was modified and put into Maintenance of Way service and given the number X-409. it was later renumbered to the 980409 number. It is seen here somewhere in the upper Midwest in the late 1980s likely at the end of its time in service.
